I just hope that the final game is as worth playing as I hope. I’m glad that the game is getting noticed by companies like Microsoft and I do hope the best for it as I enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. In all, Deliver Us the Moon looks like it’s shaping up nicely and I don’t regret backing it.
And it does look much improved to what I’ve played. After placing a call to verify delivery of the surprise. They’ve even provided some screenshots to show off how it’s looking. If you promise me that you don't choose any girlie or horror movies, I don't see why not. In addition to the above news, the update continues to tell backers that development has continued and that the first chapter has been steadily worked on and parts of the demo have been revamped with new technology.
According to the latest update they’ll be there as part of Microsoft’s campaign and will have the game even featured in their E3 trailer. But, in the end Deliver Us the Moon did just barely get the funding that it needed and now they’re taking the demo to E3 as part of the Microsoft booth. That said, the demo should have been offered as part of the campaign instead of given to backers after it ended. That said, they did provide us with an honest-to-god demo that did play out the first half hour or so of the game which did go a long way to me making the decision to take the plunge. The pitch wasn’t that great and the closest thing to a demo at the time was essentially a walk-through museum that did nothing to give a feel for how the game played out. I’ll admit that even though I’m a huge adventure game fan that I almost passed on the first person sci-fi game Deliver Us the Moon.
